Welcome to Wellington!

Windy Wellington has produced a cold and wet welcome for many - hope you're all settled in and warm. A few last-minute items, starting with...

Welcome drinks tonight

The venue for the Welcome Drinks tonight has changed due to holiday closures. The new venue is:

Blend Bar and Cafe,
118-120 Wakefield St
Wellington 049787800
Starts at: 8:30pm

Ask directions to the Old Town Hall, and it's on the opposite side of the street, a few doors towards the city. Drinks are 20% off for our guests, and they have nice snack food to order there.

Tomorrow's action

Sleep in late, then enjoy the wonderful sunshine... and be at The Boat Shed, Taranaki Wharf, at 4:30pm. Ceremony will start at 5pm upstairs. There's very limited parking, so you're best to cab it or walk.

For those wondering, the venue's not Shed 5. The Boat Shed is on the lagoon, at the end of the big foot bridge which joins the Civic Centre / Town Hall area with the sea.

Bring a warm jacket over your fine attire, and ask the cab driver to drive right up to the door of the venue, which he can do.

Taxis:

Wellington Combined Taxis: 384 4444

Wellington City Cabs: 388 8000

Thursday's Picnic

Since it's not exactly tropical in terms of temperature, we think we'll hide indoors for our "picnic" on Thursday the 4th at 3pm. So it's at this address, which those who were there on New Year's Eve will know well:

Southern Cross Tavern
35 Abel Smith Street
(Just off top of Cuba Street)
Te Aro
Wellington

Phone 04 384 9085
Website www.thecross.co.nz

Any change to this, we'll let you know at the wedding.

Rock on!

Two of New Zealand's biggest international rock bands, The Datsuns and Shihad are playing at the glorious Old Town Hall on Saturday night. We are going, and tickets for free standing are $50 from Real Groovy Records (a must to explore), top of Cuba Street.

Call us if you're lost

Luke: 021 205 9260

Naeema: 021 027 58134

See you there!

We are delighted you've all been able to make it, and extremely excited, in a night-before-Christmas (or Hari Raya) way... except with a few more things still to do than sleep. See you soon!
